Your goal is to conduct a pilot study at the Ammonia Factory for up to 180 days to determine the conditions that optimize the production of NH3 and the daily profitis. You can modify four parameters - Temperature, Pressure, H2 flow rate, and N2 flow rate.
The panel above displays information about your performance while conducting the pilot study at the Ammonia Factory since Day 1.The Days field lists the # of days you have piloted tests at the Ammonia Factory. The Cumulative NH3 Production field lists the total amount of ammonia product in kilograms that have been produce during your operation of the Ammonia Factory. The Cumulative Profits field lists the total profits made in US dollars since the pilot study began. The Footprint icon displays an average of your carbon footprint during all days of the study. Your carbon footprint is associated with your use of fossil fuels to operate the plant. There are no other sources of direct carbon emissions at this factory. The Skull Bones icon displays an average of safety risk during all days of the study. The safety risk is primarily associated with operating chemical reactors at high temperatures and pressure. The Price Index field was assigned on start-up and is a unique identifier regarding market prices for N2, H2, and NH3. Prices were locked in at start-up and will not change during your operation of the Ammonia Factory.Tap Anywhere to Close.

		Version 1
		Your Assignment
You have been hired by Haber Manufacturing, an ammonia production company, to conduct a 180-day pilot study. They will provide you with total control of one of their many production lines. Your assignment is to determine what conditions will maximize the amount of ammonia produced on a daily basis.
During your pilot study, you will modify four different parameters - Temperature, Pressure, N2 Flow Rate, and H2 Flow Rate. You will observe the effect these variables have upon daily yield and profit. Keep careful records. At the end of 180 days, you will file a report of your findings.

Enter your 2-character Price Index below.
If it checks out as valid, we will re-establish original prices and you can get started.

		Give Me a Price Index
As you begin your 180-day pilot study, we will fix prices of raw materials (N2 and H2) and the NH3 sale price. By fixing costs and sales figures, you can be assured that your job performance is based upon your decisions and not upon market fluctuations.

Your 2-character Price Index is displayed below.
Write it down in a safe place. If you should return to The Ammonia Factory to complete your project, you can use your Price Index to re-establish the original costs.
That is a valid Price Index.
Your prices are fixed.
It’s time to start.
		Price Index
You can correct your entered code and try again or request a new Price Index code.
If you are a returning user of The Ammonia Factory, you should use the Price Index that you previously received. If you are a first-time user of The Ammonia Factory, then we will provide you with a Price Index. Write it down in a safe place and use it if you make a return visit to complete your project.
