The Young's Experiment interactive is quite easy to use. You will need to learn how to do two things:
- Measure the distance between bright spots on the screen.
- Enter a wavelength value.
Entering a wavelength is just as easy. All wavelength values are multiples of 10. You will use Arrow buttons in the Wavelength panel to set the wavelength value for your answer. Tapping on the larger arrows will move the wavelength value up or down by 50 nanometers (nm). Tapping on the smaller arrows will move the wavelength value up or down by 10 nanometers. Your range is from 400 nm to 800 nm. If you calculate a value outside this range then you know that your calculations are wrong. Once you have set your answer to what you wish, tap on the Check Answer button.
Getting Physics Help:
There is no need to be in the dark about this simulation (pun intended). We have two Tutorial pages that address the topic in great detail. Spend some time studying and then return for success.Visit Young's Equation || Young's Experiment.
