Which of the following is NOT an acceleration unit? List all that apply ... .

Acceleration (a) is the rate of change in an object's velocity. It is determined from knowledge of a velocity change (Δv) and the change in time (Δt) over which the velocity changes.
a = Δvelocity / Δtime = Δv / Δt

The units that are used for quantities in physics always emerge from the mathematical definition of that quantity. Mathematically, acceleration is defined by the equation listed in the Formula Frenzy section; it is the velocity change per time change ratio. Thus, acceleration units would be units of velocity per unit of time. Examples of velocity units include m/s, cm/s, mi/hr, km/hr, and many others. Examples of time units include s, hr, and many others.
