Resonance and Air Columns
The Resonance and Air Column Toolkit provides teachers with standards-based resources for designing lesson plans and units that pertain to such topics as sound as natural frequency, forced vibrations, resonance, standing waves, and resonance in open- and closed-end air columns. Both the conceptual and the mathematical nature of these topics are emphasized. The Toolkit is supported by Lesson 4 and Lesson 5 of the Sound Waves and Music chapter at The Physics Classroom Tutorial. This page describes the Toolkit's topic, objective, types of resources included, etc.
Each toolkit can be viewed in three different ways.
