Vector Walk
The Vector Walk Interactive explores the distinction between distance and displacement. Our most recent version (version 3, January, 2023) includes 8 different multi-stage animations. Starting, turning, and stopping locations are randomly generated so that it is unlikely that two students have the same situation to analyze. After viewing each animation, a learner must determine the distance and displacement. Feedback to the answers is immediate and opportunities for correction are endless. The built-in score-keeping makes this Interactive a perfect candidate for a classroom activity. And our integration with Task Tracker allows teachers to track their students' progress and to customize the activity.
Users are encouraged to open the Interactive and explore. This Interactive does not require an activity sheet.
