Pace Tracer 2

The Pace Tracer 2 Interactive is an interactive motion detector that works in the browser. It must be used with a print-out of an ArUco marker. Students are provided a velocity-time graph and must walk in a manner so as to match the graph. There are 15 different v-t graphs to match, each representing a different motion. As students walk, the velocity at which they walk is represented on the graph. If they match the graph with 60% accuracy or above (i.e., 60% of the points are matched), they receive the trophy for that graph. 

There are two general ways that Pace Tracer 2 can be used.
  • Print the provided ArUco marker(s). Tape it to a vertical surface. Visit the Interactive page on your phone or tablet. Calibrate the detector. Point your phone at the marker. Tap Go and walk. The phone or tablet detects the marker and determines the velocity at which you are walking.
  • Print the provided ArUco marker(s). Tape it to a flat board. Visit the Interactive page on your computer. Calibrate the detector by holding board (with marker facing computer) a distance of 1 meter from your computer. Hold the board vertically and face the marker towards the computer. Tap Go and walk. The computer detects the marker and determines the velocity at which you are walking.
