Information About Revised Help

The Minds On Physics Internet Modules has always included a built-in help function. When a student is working on a question within an assignment and clicks on the textbook icon (the Hints and Help button), a separate window opens with question-specific help. The help will include definitions, formulas, short descriptions of the relevant physics principle, short paragraphs discussing common mistakes and misconceptions, and audio help. Links to relevant pages at The Physics Classroom tutorial where the subject is discussed in further detail are also included. When used (that means clicked on and read), a student will receive a significant quantity of help to nearly insure success on the question.

If you find that clicking on the Hints and Help button does not open a new window with the help pages, then you have likely disabled pop-ups in your browser. You will need to access the Preferences and enable pop-ups for The Physics Classroom website.

As always, the goal of the Minds On Physics Internet Modules is to identify student misconceptions and to provide opportunities for correction. The new revised help is one more step towards that end.
