Limiting Reactants Concept Checker
Like all our Concept Checkers, it is designed to be used as a follow-up to the use of the Limiting Reactants simulation.
The Concept Checker targets student understanding of the following learning outcomes:
- The student should be able to describe what a limiting and excess reactant are and discuss the conditions that cause a reactant to be in excess.
- The students should be able to conduct relatively simple mole-to-mole calculations in order to predict the limiting reactant and the amount of excess reactant and product present when a reaction has ended.
