Concept Builders - Sounds Waves
A Concept-Builder is an interactive questioning module that presents learners with carefully crafted questions that target various aspects of a concept. Each Concept Builder focuses the learner's attention upon a discrete learning outcome. Questions target that outcome from a variety of angles using multiple difficulty levels or varying activities. The following Concept Builders target concepts in Wave Motion and Sound.
Activities
🞋︎ Learning Goal: To determine the deciBel rating of a sound if it is known to be so many powers of ten more (or less) intense than another sound with a known deciBel rating.
Name That Harmonic: Closed-End Air Columns
🞋︎ Learning Goal: To use the relationship between frequencies between the various harmonics and to use the length-wavelength relationship to identify the standing wave pattern for a harmonic.
