Mission RL9 Converging Lenses - Image Characteristics
Mission RL9 focuses on the effect that the object location has upon the characteristics of the images that are produced by converging lenses. The mission consists of 40 questions organized into 10 Question Groups. You must answer one question from each Question Group to complete the mission. The learning outcomes for this mission are ...
Learning Outcomes
- The student should be able to identify the characteristics of images (size, location, orientation, and type) produced by converging lenses for a variety of object locations.
- The student should be able to use an understanding of image characteristics to match a converging lens image with a given object based n the image size, location and orientation.
Getting Help
If you are not familiar with this topic, then you should first learn about the topic using our written Tutorial or our Video Tutorial:
- How does the location of an object in front of a converging lens effect the characteristics (location, size, orientation) of the image?
- What object position is required in order for a converging lens to create an image the same size as the object?
- At what object location will an image not be formed by a converging lens?
