The L•O•S•T Art of Image Description (Curved Mirrors) - Directions
Using The L•O•S•T Art of Image Description (Curved Mirrors) Concept Builder is quite simple. You are shown a curved mirror with its principal axis, center of curvature, and focal point. An object arrow (in red) is positioned somewhere along the principal axis, either above or below the axis. You must identify the relative location and orientation of this image. You do so by tapping in a given region. The region where you tap is highlighted in red and an image arrow appears (in grey). You can change regions by simply tapping in a different region. You must also identify the relative size of the image. You do so by tapping multiple times in a region. As you tap multiple times, the image arrow toggles through each of the three options. Select the option that you are wishing for. Finally, you must decide on what type of image is formed; your choices are real or virtual. You can tap on the box in the lower left corner to toggle back and forth between virtual and real. Once you are satisfied with your answers, tap on the Check Answer button. Your answer swill be evaluated and your Progress Report will be updated.
