Two Point Source Interference Patterns Concept Checker
Like all our Concept Checkers, it is designed to be used as a follow-up to the use of the Two-Point Source Interference Patterns simulation. We recommend the use of our classroom-ready exercise with the simulation.
The Concept Checker targets student understanding of the following learning outcomes:
- The student should be able to identify nodes, antinodes, nodal lines, and antinodal lines on a two-point source interference pattern.
- The student should be able to describe the effect of varying wavelength and source separation distance upon the features of the pattern.
- The students should be able to determine the S1P distance, S2P distance, and path difference for a point on a nodal or an antinodal line.
