Physics Classroom is making strides to make our site accessible to everyone. Our site contains 6 navigation areas. The Primary, Secondary, and Page Level navigations have a screen reader version of their nav structure that allows using the left and right keys to navigate sibling navigation items, and up or down keys to navigate parent or child navigation items. The others can be navigated using tabs. The Primary Navigation handles the first 2 levels of site pages. The Secondary (which is not always available) handles the 3rd and 4th level of structure. The Page level navigation allows you to navigate the current page's headings quickly. The Header Navigation contains the Light/Dark Mode toggle, Search, Notifications and account login. The Breadcrumb Navigation contains the breadcrumb of the current page. If the current page has a breadcrumb, you can get to it by skipping to the content and tabbing in reverse (shift plus tab). The Footer Navigation contains links such as Privacy, Contact, about and terms. Some resources contain an Audio Player that can be activated by holding down the T key for 3 seconds, and then using K to pause and resume. While not every area of Physics Classroom is usable purely from keyboard and screen reader, we are committed to continue work on making this possible. If you have questions or need additional help, please use this link to contact us.

Electric Field Intensity - Directions

The Electric Field Intensity Concept Builder is quite simple to use. You are presented with a table of numerical values. There are one or two blank cells in each row of the eight-row table. You must use your understanding of electric field and electric force in order to determine the numerical values for the blank cell. To enter a value, tap on the blank cell. This causes a Number Pad to pop up on the side of the Concept Builder. As you tap on the digits in the number pad, values are entered into the table cell. You can use the clear button (C) or the Backspace button to clear all or the last digit of your entry. To edit a different cell of the table, just tap on that cell and use the pop-up Number Pad. The cell that is being editted always appears with a Yellow background.

When you are satisfied with your entires, tap on the Check Answers button. This causes all entries to be checked for accuracy; feedback is immediate. Incorrect answers will be displayed with a Red background. Correct answes will have a Green background and be locked from future editing. Your misses are counted and contribute and contribut to your overall Health score. Once you complete your first table, your Health Score will be reported. If it is 60% or less, you will be provided a second and final table. If it is greater than 60%, then you will be given a Trophy and returned to the Progress screen.
