Mission CM6 Elements versus Compounds

Mission CM6 pertains to elements and compounds. Students must be able to distinguish between the various representations of elements and compounds. The mission consists of 32 questions organized into 8 Question Groups.

Learning Outcomes

  • The student should be able to explain what makes an element different than a compound.
  • The student should be able to distinguish between an element and a compound if given a formula, particle diagram, or name.
  • The student should be able to identify the seven elements that exist naturally as diatomic molecules.
