Mission CM8 Using a Formula to Describe Matter

Mission CM8 pertains to the use of chemical formulae. Students must translate a description of matter in words or as a particle diagram into a set of chemical formulae. The mission consists of 32 questions organized into 8 Question Groups.

• The student should be able to use a formula (elemental symbols, subscripts, and coefficients) to describe a sample of matter described in words.
