### Rotational Motion and Balance

A Concept Builder is an interactive questioning module that presents learners with carefully crafted questions that target various aspects of a concept. Angular Position and Displacement

Learning Goal: To use an understanding of torque to predict which direction a meter stick would rotate when various masses are placed at varying distances from the fulcrum.

Learning Goal: To compare the linear and/or the angular velocity of two rotating objects under varying conditions.

Angular Acceleration

Learning Goal: To identify whether an object experiences angular acceleration or not, to determine the sign of the angular acceleration, and to determine the angular acceleration value if given simple numerical data.

Learning Goal: To use an understanding of the variables that affect the rotational inertia of an object in order to compare the rotational inertia of two different objects or systems of objects.

Torque

Learning Goal: To identify the variables that affect the amount of torque, the direction of rotation caused by a torque, and the sign on torque.

Balanced vs. Unbalanced Torques

Learning Goal: To analyze the torques experienced by an object in order to determine if the object is experiencing an angular acceleration.
