Visible Light Spectrum:
Of the enormous range of frequencies in the electromagnetic spectrum, our eyes are sensitive to only a very narrow range. This narrow range of frequencies is referred to as the visible light spectrum. Each frequency within this range of frequencies is associated with a unique color of light. The range of colors and their ordering is often remembered by the mnemonic ROYGBIV (red-orange-yellow-green-blue-indigo-violet).
